With spring seemingly underway now, we wanted to reach out with a quick update. As most of you know, our Deli has been open throughout the last couple of months and we want to reassure everyone that we are still doing everything we can to stay on top of the hygiene standards that have been set out for us essential businesses. We are, however, trying to keep things as normal as possible for our team and for our customers, so if we seem to be “working a little too close” with our fellow co-workers, please know that we are a family here and it’s also a very small space, we simply have no way around it. Our team’s mental health is the most important factor during these strange times, so we choose to not let the panic and fear trickle into our workplace, so please know that although we are happy and laughing, we are very much taking this seriously. The demand for food, especially meat, is extremely high these days and we are all working very hard to keep up and to do it with a smile on our faces.
We are grateful that we are deemed an essential business, but things have changed dramatically for us as well with the loss of almost 50% of our wholesale customers, however, despite the loss, we are happy to say that we continue to employ all of our 35 staff members. To make up for the loss we have had to get super creative and find new ways to get our product to Albertans across the province. We are so proud of our team for being fluid and evolving with us on this crazy journey, our Carnivore Kit and BBQ Kit deliveries have been a whirlwind but it has been an amazing display of just how much we can do and we aren’t nearly done! THANK YOU to all of you for your continued support, we see what you guys are saying on social media and we are so extremely blessed to have you all be part of the Valbella Family, from the bottom of our hearts.
